After a 5-year restoration project, this masterpiece of Gothic architecture dating back to the 12th century is set to reopen to the public. The devastating fire in 2019 not only destroyed the iconic spire of Notre-Dame but also severely damaged this ancient building that holds the memory of human civilization. However, with the assistance of modern technology, this historical structure is returning with a renewed appearance. The ambitious project, costing approximately €700 million (about 5.3 billion RMB), involved more than 250 companies and over 2,000 craftsmen.
